Our journey begins on the tarmac road, passing by the quaint Yiti village before venturing into the off-road wonderland of Wadi Mia. Be prepared to capture stunning photos as we wind our way through the picturesque off-road trails, eventually connecting to the Sur highway. Our first stop is at the magnificent Wadi Dayqah dam, a marvel of engineering commissioned in Quriyat village for irrigation and water supply purposes. Marvel at the vast water storage capacity of approximately 100 cubic meters, ensuring a sustainable water source for the region. Take a moment to refresh and snap some unforgettable photos at Wadi Dayqah before embarking on our next thrilling leg.
Our journey continues on an adventurous route, cutting through the rugged mountains, leading us to the enchanting Wadi Arbayeen. This exciting off-road drive will give you beautiful views and it is one of the more interesting off-road routes in this region. As we arrive, you'll be captivated by the sight of deep pools of water surrounded by lush date palms.
From there, we'll head towards the captivating Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural wonder formed through the corrosion of limestone. The sight of this unique sinkhole will leave you in wonder. You will also get a chance to go to the bottom of this sinkhole and view the fish that swim through its salty waters.
Next on our itinerary is the magnificent Wadi Shab, where a beautiful hike awaits us. We'll cross the shore by a small boat, beginning a mesmerizing hike deep into the heart of the river, surrounded by majestic mountains. This hike requires good physical conditions and proper footwear, as some rocks may be slippery. Fear not, for the spectacular view that awaits you at the end of the trail is absolutely worth it! After about 45 minutes of walking, you'll be treated to the sight of a stunning natural pool, and you won't be able to resist the temptation of a refreshing swim.
As the day comes to a close, we'll reluctantly bid farewell to the wonders of Oman's coastal side and make our way back to Muscat. This day of exploration promises to be an experience filled with natural beauty, thrilling adventures, and unforgettable memories that will stay with you forever.
